The former hostel (picture) was built in 1904 as the villa of a Jewish merchant. Years later, the property served as a nurses’ residence and a civil registry office before it was converted into a youth hostel in 1956. After a complete renovation in 1991/92, the villa was opened again in April 1993.
Formerly, the new Youth Hostel was a school. After closing it decays more and more. The building was completely reconstructed.
